Venture Capital, Mergers and Acquisitions are another critical piece of business development in business. M&A activities allow these companies to quickly scale, enter new markets, acquire new technologies, or eliminate competition. The role of business development in M&A involves identifying potential targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating deals, and overseeing the integration process.

This requires a deep understanding of market trends, financial acumen, and the ability to foresee potential synergies and challenges. For example, when a global pharmaceutical company acquires a biotech startup, the business development team must assess the startup’s value proposition, how it fits into the larger company’s portfolio, and how it can be integrated effectively.

Stephen Hall – Corporate Affairs

Stephen is the Founder of Oak Street Summit and a member of the board of directors and a Co-Founder of ORock Technologies. He has served as an advisor for a wide range of companies, with a focus in the real estate and technology sectors. Mr. Hall received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California and is a fellow in taxation. He started his career in Tax Accounting in Los Angeles in 1998. His expertise includes real estate, technology and other complex business transactions.  Mr. Hall serves as a member of the board of directors of several privately held entities. 

Stephen Hall is an Enrolled Agent that specializes in tax planning and tax preparation for US taxpayers in all 50 jurisdictions in the United States. Robert Hall & Associates is a second generation owned tax accounting firm that services over 2500 companies and 7500 families. Stephen has advised technology startups, real estate industry, food tech as well as a deal lead for early-stage angel investments with the Pasadena Angels. Stephen has been a board-observer, board member and part of the advisory board for early-stage organizations.
